Australian Flag Presentation
MELBOURNE | 2 May 2011
In early May, Victorian Labor Senator Jacinta Collins presented the Pan Australia CCC with an Australian flag as a show of support for our journey to Madrid. Four members of the CCC Melbourne, including Sr. Mary Joseph Sze SPC, were at the presentation. The flag will travel with the group to World Youth Day.
This event has been featured in Kairos! Read the article online or turn to page 10 of the May 29 issue (Vol 22, Issue 9).

Christmas Cards Making
MELBOURNE | Oct-Nov 2010
The Catholic Chinese Community of Melbourne has kicked off our first fundraising activity — selling hand-made Christmas cards. Besides raising money for the journey, the Christmas cards serve to promote our vision to those outside the church. Enlisting the help of the whole CCC Melbourne means the entire church is participating in preparation for World Youth Day, not just those who are going.

Formation Activities
We encourage each local community to hold regular formation gatherings in order to prepare pilgrims and the community on the journey towards WYD 2011. The national team will make available formation material suitable for fortnightly gatherings, and the aim is for the formation program to begin in January 2011.
The formation gathering is not aimed to be a series of teachings and instructions. It is more an opportunity for the youths, whether they are planning to travel to Madrid or not, to journey towards this universal church event as a team together. Whether there are only a few, or many available, we encourage each local CCC to make use of this opportunity to hold formation gatherings.
Let us make use of the blessings of technology as a portal of communication and sharing between the communities.
The formation material will be made available in Our Resource Kit.
