Chinese Catholic Community Inc.

The Chinese Catholic Community (CCC) was established in 1983 with the help of Fr. Dungan Aidan. The group was based in St Joseph's Church, Camperdown, and celebrated mass in both Chinese and English. As the number of Chinese parishioners grew, CCC was able to offer more services including forming a Chinese school.

When the congregation out-grew St Joseph's Church in the early 1990s, CCC decided to set up a second centre. With Bishop Bede's support, CCC began celebrating Chinese mass at St Monica's Church, North Parramatta, in September 1991.

The growing population of Chinese Catholics in Sydney's northern district prompted CCC to set up yet another centre in 1997, this time at the Holy Family of Nazareth in Lindfield. Both the bishop of the Diocese of Broken Bay and the St Paul's Sister have lent their support in the establishment of this third centre.
