Where's The Flag?
The World Youth Day Cross and Icon was entrusted to the youth to "carry it throughout the world as a symbol of Christ's love for humanity, and announce to everyone that only in the death and resurrection of Christ can we find salvation and redemption." It has been traveling around the world, touching the lives of thousands of people as a sign of faith and hope.
Similarly, we have created a flag to travel through the Chinese Catholic Communities of Australia leading up to World Youth Day 2011. The flag, carrying the blessings of all communities, will journey with the Pan Australia CCC WYD team to Madrid.

CCC Melbourne
CCC Melbourne kicked off the flag signing on November 14, and received much support (and signatures!) from youths and adults alike.

CCC Adelaide
The flag arrived in Adelaide in December and was presented during the first Chinese mass of the month. Youths handed out prayer cards and they had lunch afterwards.

CCC Perth
CCC Perth received the flag in early January. There was a great turn out of youths on the day and many left their marks on the flag.

Darwin CCC
The flag arrived in Darwin during the first week of February and signing took place during the monthly rosary evening. Sr Mary Chan also read out the letter written by Carlos.
